27 Jan Jenny Cudahy
Jenny Cudahy serves as our Director of Family Ministry and Communications, which means she wears multiple hats at Calvary. Jenny has served three churches in multiple roles: as Discipleship Director for a Lutheran church in Charlottesville, Va., as Director of Children’s Ministries in Centreville, Va., and is now thrilled to be at Calvary. Jenny, a Virginia native, hails from Roanoke and attended James Madison University where she met her husband, Jim. Jenny and Jim also run a communications firm called 7 Marcom. When not working together, Jenny and Jim enjoy their three adult sons and soon-to-be daughter in law, their two naughty labrador retrievers, and their beautiful community in the mountains of Central Virginia. Jenny recently shared these thoughts about Calvary:
“Calvary is one of those places you don’t want to leave. I was overwhelmed by the radical welcome and diversity Calvary offers. Calvary adults take seriously their promise to nurture the faith of the littlest disciples, and babies are passed more frequently than the offering plate.”
Jenny’s philosophy about family ministry is that parents are best suited to grow the faith of their children, and hopes to equip them with the resources they need to grow faith at home. Jenny loves to see children in worship at Calvary, and feels that the biggest job perk is holding one of our littles on her lap. Jenny also maintains Calvary’s website, writes the bi-weekly online newsletter, as well as our social media presence.
