Greetings Calvary Family and Friends,
You are welcome in our church; all are Welcome in our church. It is our church motto as we focus on People, Passion, Purpose.
We don’t push any agendas as we Worship together, because all means all, and we want you each to feel like this is a safe place to Worship. We don’t push religion, we share our love of Jesus Christ, our friend, and we share a common Presbyterian Worship tradition. If you are a member, we would love to have you back this Sunday or online; and if you are visiting, Welcome. This Sunday we are having a Potluck after our 10am service…please join us in person!!!
Next Sunday, September 22, we will have an abbreviated service and then go to work cleaning up inside our Church building and outside in our yard. But…whether you can help or not…please join us in person for a brief period of worship.
This past weekend I was in Michigan visiting my Mom who turned 88. She has a sharp mind, but is in hospice care, and she is slowly fading away. As my siblings and children joined her to celebrate her birthday, I was reminded of Ecclesiastes and the seasons of life. There is truly a season and a time for everything under Heaven (Ecc 3.1b).
But the good news is, that as we go through our seasons here on earth, God shared His heavenly wisdom with us, through Jesus. This Sunday we will be discussing this heavenly wisdom in the Letter of James, Chapter 3.
Come, hear more about this, and feel Welcomed! Find comfort for an anxious mind; find great home-cooked food for your body; and find heavenly wisdom for your soul, watered by Grace.
